Is there any scientific evidence Albanians came from 'that' Albania on the Caspian sea?

also, fun fact:
Kosovo and Metohija (what is now 'Kosovo - the country') border is the last remaining border made by the Nazi Germany. Nazis divided all the territory they ruled over in arbitrary borders, communists for some reason made Kosovo the Autonomous Region based on that, and NATO promoted it to a state recently

Albanians are clannish and used to live in remote mountains so their language was able to survive the influence of their more powerful Latin, Greek, and Slavic neighbors though I should mention that their is a lot of Latin in the modern Albanian vocabulary though the different pronunciation hides it.

Although the amount of pre-Greek substratum and the fact that ancient Greek religion was easily 50% pre-Greek is worth consideration. Too bad nothing of note survives of pre-Greek peoples on the mainland.

They came from Inner Albania and parts of southern Serbia and Northern Macedonia

It's the last surviving member of the Illyria branch of the Indo-European languages. While the Northern Illyrians of modern day Croatia and Bosnia would have been Romanized/Slavicized and the coastal southern Illyrians would have been Hellenized, the inner Illyrians would have been both isolated and or autonomous from centralized rule.
As the Slavic tribes moved in and intermixed with the Northern Illyrians the southern ones would have migrated yo modern day Albania, Kosovo, and Northern Macedonia

They're language is not confirmed to be illyrian because we know too little of illyrian (they didn't preserve their history well) but they are the most likely candidate of illyrian ancestry both in language and ethnicity. Thracian and dacian also show a faint link.
