They're like this in the US to btw. Just contrast the jewish overrepresentation at the Ivy Leagues vs that of Asians, and what the response has been. Asians have to jump through an absurd amount of to get into these Universities even though they are far less represented than the jews and are a larger share of the population.
Remember, jews are 0.5-1% of the US population, but 15-30% of the Ivy League students and more of the faculty. One of the reasons this is the case is that these places also require that you send a letter telling who you are and have extra curicular activities. Various groups are targeted via exclusions of people who voluntered at various organizations.

Jews might indeed have evolved a higher number of smart people this combined with a culture more focused on learning can explain the over representation in certain groups/functions.
Problem is that if you where to pose this to civil society you'd be called an anti-semite and vile racist. Never mind that a separate micro evolutionary path is far less horrible a thesis then the others that have been brought forth to explain jews being over represented in higher functions.
An other problem with this is, from a political side. Is that if jews are just smarter other groups might just be more stupid and thus "inferior".
