Why is it that Germans/German speaking people have made the most contributions/are the most prominent figures in psychology?
This isn't some "HURR DIVERSITY" post, I am genuinely curious. What is it with Germans and the human mind?
Is it the language/culture/education style or something else that facilitates the way of thinking for the discipline?

Byung-Chul Han is a korean philosopher who for some reason only philosophizes in german. His books need to be translated back into korean. This works for him better this way.
I know OP wants to talk about psychology, but this is what I can add to this conversation. Also indology was dominated by german speakers as well.

Germans are, in my experience, a bunch of emotionally stunted, humourless cunts. It doesn't surprise me that they'd be drawn to psychology. Dysfunctional young women are drawn to it in the same way. It's an effort to understand the part of themselves that is broken or missing, their emotions.
