Which religion has the best temples?
Catholicism
Can't beat cathedrals, but there are some nice mosques here and there.
>>438085
Hard to tell based on those that survived, because there are some magnificent ones that were destroyed. The Greeks had some great temples that were generally demolished or blown up; the Buddhas carved out of the mountains in Afghanistan and China were demolished by the Taliban and the Communists, respectively. The Chinese also inundated hundreds of ancient temples in the building of the three gorges dam. Chichen Itza and the mesoamerican temples we do see are probably only a portion of what was once built. None of the Jews' temples of jerusalem have survived; I'm sure Persepolis had some great temples before Alexander just burnt it down too.

if you fill it with masons however it will look exactly like it.
>>438135
More orthodox churches.

You can only put so many colors and patterns into a design before it starts to look gaudy.

I think it's kinda funny when a Christian church looks like an ancient Greek temple with cross on it.
Shinto shrines are pretty cool too.

This must be where the Illuminati that populate the highest secret levels of Masonry stick all the public face rejects who will never be allowed to learn about the portal to hell or secret alien contact or whatever they found.

Christians, are you even trying?

Externally I find mormon temples often to be aesthetically pleasing.
>>438096
Oh man, why did these get made by such prudes? They would be the best places for doing acid.
>>438153
That's either a castle or a mall.
>>438253
Mormons are kind of wacky at times but you got to hand it to them for creating one of the only innovative yet actually aesthetically pleasing architectural styles in religious structures in the last, like, 300 years. About the only daring thing they've done too.
This temple is amazing on the inside.
>>438292
long temple is looooooooong
>>438318
Hey man, you'd be long too if you were a temple that has to shelter 1000+ statues.

iranian shia mystics consumed dmt in the form of a certain seed that grows on the iranian plateau. i cannot recall the name at the moment, but its a tradition that stems from zoroastrianism. the smoke from burning the seeds would be inhaled and divined.

to think this shit is all made of wood and put together only through fitting each woodpiece.
The Japanese were the goat carpenters. Just as westerners were the goat masons.
>>438820
I can't help but think how boring some of these places would be in person. Especially the cathedrals. It feels a lot unimpressive, and the size among other things really affect your perspective. I wish real life was like. No way would Norway have a depressive population.
It's amazing how devoted we humans are to doing both the most beautiful things, and the most heinous ones because of our faith.
Despite not believing, one can't help but think such work must be because of something, why would we go to such extents for nothing? There's got to be a bigger motive.

>>439946
The temple mount should be, but fucking snackbars chimp out every time someone goes up there cause "muh Muhammad's horse was hitched here, muh 3rd holiest site in Islam, fuck the Jews". Also ultra orthodox Jews don't like the idea of praying up there either because no one is ritually pure enough to sanctify it. So it remains in the hands of angry sand people.

It isn't lel and most muslims ignore that anyway, drinking alcohol and the like.
I have never seen a muslim that doesn't drink.

Shinto and Islamic religious spaces are far and away the best.

What religion would you call the air benders? Buddhism?
>>442457
Airbending, firebending and earthbending are all Buddhism.
>>442470
Howso?
>>442481
They each represent different types of Buddhism.
>airbenders are Buddhist Tibet
>Earthbenders can be classified as many CHinese Dynasties, probably Qing
>firebenders are probably Japan or Yuan Dynasty
Waterbenders are Inuits, so not Buddhists.
>>442497
I would have to disagree about the Earth Kingdom representing a variant of Buddhism. Buddhism is entirely centred around the spiritual will and power of one's self and their path to enlightenment etc. This involves a significant lack of any deity/higher figure worship or any other "force" more powerful than the adherent. But the Earth Kingdom lacks this because of the heavily emphasised impact and influence of the Monarchy and the King/Queen of the kingdom. Granted the entire spirituality isnt just based upon the monarchy, there are other spiritual influences across the continent, as is expected, but even still they dont uphold many Buddhist principles of selfness, they mostly are shrines to other things like Kyoshi or the badger moles etc.
