Were the Nazis ideologically left-wing or right-wing?
>>16319
Far-right
>inb4 some /pol/tard claims they were left-wing because they were socialist
Mein Kampf:
Today our left-wing politicians in particular are constantly insisting that their craven-hearted and obsequious foreign policy necessarily results from the disarmament of Germany, whereas the truth is that this is the policy of traitors [...] But the politicians of the Right deserve exactly the same reproach. It was through their miserable cowardice that those ruffians of Jews who came into power in 1918 were able to rob the nation of its arms.
Adolf Hitler said Nazism was syncretic ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syncretic_politics )
>>16339
so accurately criticizing nazism is /pol/ now?
>>16339
Explain how socialism can be right even slightly.
This is literally the worst thing history books can ever say
>socialism is right wing specifically when the Nazi's do it.
>>16339
People who say Nazis were left-wing tend to be neoconservatives, not exactly /pol/ favourite ideologists.
>>16339
They were a third position fuckhead
And fucknyour left/right dichotomy bullshit
>>16376
The Nazi economy was mixed, and the term "socialist" is widely considered a misnomer in "National Socialist German Worker's Party."
>>16339
Not really.
I mean if they were far-right then that meant Stalin and his communists were too.
I think they were more like a schizophrenic mix of reactionary, syndicalist and nationalist.
>>16319
Right in both social and economic perspective.
Nazism is in of itself a far-right racial offshoot of Italian fascism, so the question itself is redundant.
Within the German government itself prior to the war there were a variety of figures that differed from the hardline Nazi political ideals however, though not by enough to call any of them left-wing; at most they were more traditional conservatives or economic liberals.
>>16376
>everyone who calls themselves socialist is socialist
right I guess north korea must be democratic then
Far right wing socially but moderate to far left economically
>>16425
But if socialist is in the name how can they not be socialist?
t. people who think pointing out that Democrat founded the Klan is an accurate criticism of liberals
Right wing

I'm a nazi
>inb4 ban
It's a political belief that I have the right to hold, just as you have the right to believe in karl marx's retarded vision.
>>16339
The are not very far right as they were strong government.
They were more left than current middle America
Why does this question even matter? It always turns into a game of "push the nazis to the other side of the spectrum". Nothing good ever comes from it.
>>16319
Left wing/right wing isn't an ideology, it's an attitude.
Whether someone is right or left wing depends upon what the norms of the country are.
In the case of Germany they were either reactionaries or radicals. Likely radicals because national socialism and a monarchy are very different systems and the former had not existed in Germany before.
Though in reality, radicals and reactionaries are very similar and I'm sure which one they were depends upon what aspects of their reign and historical germany that you're looking at.
Really you lot shouldn't focus on attitude so much as actual ideology if we're talking about politics.
Even if the best ideology is actually none at all.
>>16319
Right wing, if you say anything else you should leave this board right now for all our sakes
Hitler was a good man. He didn't do anything. He even went to church and everything.

I think it's interesting because I would like an objective answer to this question as well. I suppose there is some merit in saying they incorporated elements of both left-wing and right-wing belief into their core philosophy and it's not as cut and dry as it seems.
>>16421
Hitler said he was the most perfect marxist.
>>16319
NATIONAL SOCIALISM ITSELF IS A RADICAL CENTRIST IDEOLOGY, SO CONSEQUENTLY, THE THIRD REICH WAS A RADICAL CENTRIST REGIME, BUT IF IT IS FORCEFULLY FITTED INTO THE HACKNEYED INVALID DICHOTOMY OF "RIGHT"/"LEFT", THE THIRD REICH TENDED MORE TO THE "LEFT".
>>16319
center, they worked with industries heavily (via subsidies etc) in order to achieve national aims but did not nationalise the industries therefore allowing for profit to be made
Socially is a bit harder to say, they brought animals rights into Europe and also attacked the perceived rich (the jews), however alternative views would say those rich were jews attack and oppressed due to their ethnicity not their way of achieving wealth. But their stance on law and order was clearly right, so I would say center-right/center

were attacked*

I watch that documentary every weekend. It's so beautiful. He was a good man.
>>16692
DO YOU ACTUALLY WATCH THE SAME SIXHOUR "DOCUMENTARY" EVERY WEEK?
>>16744
Every weekend. Yes. Hitler was a good man. I cry sometimes. The world could have been different if he had won.
Its hard to place because of how mixed their ideals were
National Socialism was a form of Fascism which itself contains both left and right wing ideas and practices. Economically and Socially they were leftists with the heavy business regulations, national labor services, and socialist healthcare but at the same time allowed certain monopolies and were staunchy against egalitarianism which are obviously right wing ideals. If anything they are centrist in every single facet but discrimination against non german people.

>National Socialism was a form of Fascism...
