LOL most people don't understand jack shit about how the free market works. They don't even know how money is made. They think it's just magic and money is printed
>>
>>1408135
Don't mind these idiots.
In the third world you'll see the rise of a "revolutionary elite", be it through the actual independence process or through later developments.
In the place where it rules these "left leaning" governments are often self-serving, mass murdering, exploiting, controlling, corrupt and careless about the population. This leads to a reaction from the people, considering that indeed under any other regime they'd thrive (sometimes even under colonial regime).

Face it, the "people's" revolution never happens. And this is coming from a third worlder.>
>>
>>1408195
That was what people in Europe before the industrial revolution used to say. That the world was never going to change, that everything was going to be the same for ever.

Vietnam was commie not far from know and look how they rate.

Vietnamese think that the commie regime was more alienating.

Vietnamese experienced both and preffered overwhemingly capitalism

>That was what people in Europe before the industrial revolution used to say. That the world was never going to change, that everything was going to be the same for ever.
ANd commies claimed that communism is the final stage of humanity, when every attempt to implemented has failed, and ex commie countries are the most pro.free market in the world
>>
>>1408213
What?
My point is exploiting people then spouting some ideological nonsense and calling yourself a liberator and socialist doesn't make you some kind of saint.
But well off middle class westerners will still go and worship you as such, while the people thar are being exploited will react.
>>
>>1408223
Your point is irrelevant. Communism's place as the "final stage in history" was never said to have to happen soon. Many communists wish to facilitate the transition to communism, but it'll happen in its own time. The movement is long from dead, just in a lull, as the first serious phase of attempted communism has failed.

That is why every communist country has stopped the "revolution". Saying something is going to happen with no evidence other than autism is not an argument

It is dead.

It is funny how Vietnam is the most free trade country in the world, when they were an ex commie country.Only fedoras oppose capitalism.
>>

>More leftist elitism
Impressive. I guess this is also why every third world revolutionary elite just dismisses the peoples' suffering (up until the people rise up and slash their throats).

Daily reminder you're an academic cult and not a real proletariat movement.

Great argument OP! Let me go ask what the majority of people think and therefore what they say is correct.

I'm asking for sources for either one of your claims you absolute autist. My example of China simply shows that you're most likely lying your ass off.

Yes, the poor are 100% behind capitalism alright.

OP's image is fantastically useless. To try and synthesize a country's views on all of the different facets of economy by asking such a simple, vague question is ridiculous.

I mean, for fuck's sake, better off than what?

Capitalism works well with democracies that fool the poorest people into supporting the system. It's a good system but it most certainly oppresses the poor.

Take the bipartisan system in the United States. Both parties are geared towards protecting the interests of the extremely rich. No matter how much people agree or disagree, when it comes to the polls, everyone agrees that the interests of the extremely rich should be protected.

Don't get me wrong I don't disagree with the system, I'm just saying it's asinine to say it doesn't oppress the poor that's what it does by definition. Capitalism inherently is about living on the backs of others. The trick is that you get on top.
>>
>>1408843
They almost always go hand in hand.

Free trade isn't just tariffs and regulations. It's also the businesses making independent decisions.
>>
>>1408876
Not really. Free trade is just one of the many factors of a free market. Just because a country has completely free trade doesn't mean other factors of its economy aren't regulated
>>
>>1408958
Free trade is not followed by any nation on earth so this whole argument id retarded.

Countries with liberalized trade are generally liberalized market economies. That's a fact. The exception doesn't negate the rule.

"Free trade" is usually anything but, and tends to be a code word from the larger entity to the smaller, translating to, "u gonna get raeped."

When an economy large enough to subsidize its industry creates a "free trade" treatise with a smaller one it can undercut, the end result tends to be that the target nation's related industry is wiped out. Usually this results in an entire sector of employment moving to black market goods, causing drug cartels to rise in power. When the industry in question in agriculture, as it often is, you end up with dust bowls to boot. All in all, it ain't pretty.

Not that capitalism still isn't the best system we have, but it ain't pretty.

that's not contradictory for exactly the two points you just mentioned

Most of the poor people don't understand how the free market works, and they don't give a fuck about it. They just want to put food on the table an feed their family.

Well, the raep does involve installing some infrastructure (on their dime through yet another unpayable lone), so some development happens, in addition to the employment.

...and then we light the sky on fire.

It doesn't.

There's a reason people line up for the factories, it's still a better life than an agrarian society.

That "virtual slave conditions" is why China and India can have such insane growth figures.
