I would be so anxious to work out, but I just shut my brain off and physically made myself do it. I stopped thinking about why this or that and I just fucking did it because I knew it was better than just sitting around thinking about why or why not. Doing something is better than nothing.

This guy is 100% right, it's really just getting yourself motivated enough to not do other things, establishing positive habits, and especially not to overthink anything. The more you think about something, the more difficult and unpleasant it will be, or meaningless, which if you want to "accomplish" stuff, is not the viewpoint to hold to.
This book seems really gimmicky at points, but ultimately I find (most of) the message really useful. It sounds really simple, but it is great to see just laid out straight, that just focusing on little daily routines and habits is how you get anything done. I don't agree with some of his unnecessary social, always be happy stuff, but I kind of see some points to it. For example, anticipating something is bad, thinking heavily about it, and it will be, but if you somehow get yourself to find it interesting or even slightly pleasurable than it isn't something you have to struggle through
