Is the postmodern era coming to an end?
What will replace it?
We are already nearing the end of the post post modern era
No, it's not coming to an end. We are eternally stuck in the post modern age.

So what exactly is post-postmodernism then? What are its characteristics?
If we are nearing the end of it as you say then we should know it enough to describe it.
Honestly, I "postmodernism" is simply a term for late modernism.

Not who you're replying to, but if post-postmodernism is a reaction to postmodernism then I think, to find it, you should look at how people are reacting to everything being observed in post-modern philosophy.
I think a more descriptive term for what exactly that could be is that its something like "pseudo-modernism".

The 'posts' cancel out. That's what academic opinion boils down to on the matter.
>Post modernism

Yeah

Ironically it's a sign of postmodernism. Postmodernism was based on reacting against the past and breaking away from it. Post-post-post-pizzity-post-mcpost-modernism is doing the same with all iterations of postmodernism that came before it. It's all the same: breaking away from tradition and starting a new, often fueled by relativism and a distaste for the established societal and cultural institutions.
