It all started that happy, sunny day full of joy when her lovingly Husband got brutally murdered while collecting tribute.
Left with no loving husband and to raise her own son as a regent you may assume she was mightily pissed off, even more so when the very tribe that killed her husband sent her a question about whenever she wanted to marry their leader and form an alliance.
Deciding there was better things to do then to wage bloody war against your enemies for the sake of petty revenge she invited their strongest and smartest nobles over on a feast, to ease relations, letting them spend some time in a big bathhouse.
Safely inside she let her men seal the doors leading into it, setting the whole thing on fire and killing everyone inside.
Still not quite happy about the results she invited the tribe over again, spurring them to send their smartest and strongest ((Or something like that anyway))
These guys, as it turned out, was at no risk of being burned indoors. Once safely arriving at Kiev it turned out Olga had dug a big hole just for them, pushing them inside and burying them all alive.
Now that so many of their good noblemen had died Olga went at war against them, besieging their city. With the city surrounded with nothing else to do then try to sit out the siege she decided to ask them for a tribute in exchange for leaving them along, a tribute that consisted of every house of the town gifting her three sparrows. Joyed that she would let them go this cheaply the townsmen was quick to collect her tribute, with which she then tied a bit of burning material to every bird and let them go. Panicked the birds quickly flew back to the "safety" of their old homes in the city, setting the entire thing on fire and quite effectively ending the siege with "Bad bitch" Olga as the winner.
