He is probably one of the smartest people to ever walk the planet. How do you think knowledge works? That a person who knows literally nothing, if they are smart enough and think long enough can know everything?
That is like saying Newton was a dumbass because while he did invent Calculus he didn't figure out integration and derivation of trigonometric functions.
