I don't know. But we're entering the age where it is possible to directly and deliberately steer our own evolution, via genetic engineering. It's not more trouble than it's worth, gengineering is just extremely difficult for complex changes, but the biotech fields are advancing extremely rapidly. If we could do it it would be retardedly useful, its not like a moon base where we can do it but just have no reason to.
