After Matthias death who centralized the power onto himself, the Hungarian mobility played house wars again, and the new king started to give up lands and power to gain supporters, and when Sulejman himself attacked the country they didn't raise their lazy ass for the king.

Its arguable, if he actually had a legitimate heir, not just a bastard it wouldn't had been such a big problem.
Under his rule the Ottomans and the Kingdom of Hungary were more or less balanced out, so its not like he had any reason to care about them, he split up Bosnia creating a buffer between them, attacking the Ottomans could has actually backfired him, he wasn't unbeatable, Moldova for example was able to repel him.
