Why don't western Europeans feel any sense of kinship with eastern Europeans? I see the west being really chummy with each other, but they seem to bully the east. And Europe's history is full of the west fucking over the east, especially with that Constantinople thing.

It's difficult to imagine Constantinople falling if they didn't get sacked by their fellow Christians going on a Crusade. That incident weakened Byzantium making them easy prey for Ottomans.
Also, most of Europe didn't really help much as Constantinople was getting sieged by Ottomans.
Obviously the West had its reasons, but its still notable that a lot of the things that the West does in relation to the East tends to fuck the East over, intentional or not.

because the west is liberal and libertarian, which means that they strive to make hedonism the most legal and moral, but the east so far has too few means to feed their desires. It changes slowly since the east becomes decent enough while still being affordable for the middle class who just think of pleasures all day long.
