Oh man, have I got a story for you. Basically some guy named Louis Doimi de Lupis, who really is Croatian nobility changed his surname in to Louis Doimi de Lupis Frankopan Šubić Zrinski. Zrinski https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Zrinski and Frankopans https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Frankopan were two of the most influential Croatian, and by extension Hungarian, noble families. But they died out in the 17 and 18 centuries. (Šubići died out in the middle ages and Zrinskj are their branch) Anyway, the guy has no reason to claim their lineage but he doesn't give a fuck.
