How different would the world be today if firearms were never invented?
Pic not entirely unrelated

What else would we not have invented?
Define firearms.
Are you talking about the discovery of gunpowder? Actual firearms that you handheld and fire with triggers? Plenty of applications arise from gunpowders. The chinese were using rudimentary rocket-based artilleries long before "gun" came into existence. They were using metal sharpenel based grenades in their wars.
Extremely different. Combustion powers all our transport, without learning about it from gunpowder we wouldn't have it.

I'll specify handheld firearms

So all our cars would be electric and steam powered then. Trains would be much more popullar
Depends if you mean "no gunpowder" or "no guns."
Do you essentially mean, "what if everything was the same except we still used swords, bows, crossbows, etc"?

Retarded question.
That's like asking what if electricity wasn't invented.

I'm going to assume spring based automatic mechanisms would have arisen for crossbows, as well as faster repeating scorpion bolt type artillery

Still gunpowder is not the only explosive that exists. Someone could for example use substitutes https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_powder_substitute
Also your question is from the cubic cow classification
Still a world without gunpowder made popular would probably look like pre meiji japan

Poor people would NOT be able to vote.
