9/11 was only a big deal in that it gave neo-cons the impetus to implement the New American Century (tm) plan which ultimately backfired in the most hilarious way. Future historians are going to laugh at the United States blowing its one chance at world domination away because we couldn't pacify a bunch of camel herders.
