I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as slavs, are in fact, ruthenians/eastern germanic descendants of kievan rus, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, east nordids.
Slavs are not a race unto itself, but rather another component of the ethnogenesis of the scandinavian norse germanic people from the migration of the peoples and onward, made historically relevant by the kievan rus settlements in Gardariki by the norsemen who traveled down the Volga and founded both Russia and Ukraine before being christianized by the byzantine empire.
Many eastern germanics speak the artifical glagolithic church language invented by the greek monk Cyrill, which is where the term cyrillics stems from. Before that, they spoke old norse and revered pagan germanic gods.
All the so-called "slavs" are really descendants of eastern germanics. There is objectively no argument to be made against this historical fact.

The Nazis learned really fucking quick that they couldn't maintain their racial policy and still fight the war. They ended up compromising a lot of their ideology after they invaded Russia because they were so short on men. Hell, they had literally tens of thousands of Russians fighting in the Wehrmacht and even SS, and the late-war Heer/SS was a multicultural wonderland.

Because Hitler's ideology wasn't so much blind racism as a brutal, practical approach to making Germany a self-sufficient world power.
In WW1, one of the driving reasons for Germany's defeat was that they couldn't feed themselves once the Royal Navy blockaded them. They tried to fix this by colonizing the Baltic, creating a state called Ober Ost, but that ended up being a drain on resources. Even with the locals forced into labor crews and put on starvation rations, the region was still a net loss to Germany. Occupied Belgium was also a drain, as was Austria Hungary, because the Hungarians refused to feed anyone but themselves and the Russians sacked the breadbasket that was Galicia in 1914.
Hitler's solution to this problem of not being self-sufficient was brutally simple, and not too far removed from the forced deportations that took place in WW1 with respect to potentially subversive minority groups. Seizing upon anti-Slavic and anti-Polish sentiment that was already present in Germany, it became really easy to dehumanize the slavs and set the groundwork for subjugation and eventual extermination to free up resources for the German people. And the terrible thing was that it actually worked, briefly. By drawing in resources from occupied territories (particularly Russia), food shortages in Germany in WW2 never got as bad as they were in WW1 until after the war had ended.

1. National Socialism was extremely anti-communist. Non-Russians with little reason to love the soviet union will like the USSR's mortal enemies more just naturally.
2. They are farther removed from Nazi oppression than they are from communist oppression.
3. They aren't Nazis in a literal way. They take the ultra-nationalism, anti-communism and anti-semitism, along with the symbols and language, but they don't have some sort of developed racial theory. So long as you are happy to throw gypsies, jews, faggots and Russians into an oven, you're golden.

Contrary to their antisemitism, Nazis never really made explicit Anti-Slavic propaganda which makes it possible for some retarded Slavs to identify with them. By the way, the Nazis didn't think Slavs were a race so it's arguable whether the term "Anti-Slavism" applies for Nazis at all. They thought that a certain percentage of the people living in the East was of Nordic or other valuable stock, while the rest were composed of more primitive European sub-races or of Asiatic influences.

Our neonazis have urban legends like "Hitler said he would win the war after he saw what we did during Uprising", "Poland would be better off if they'd agree on the demands Hitler gave them"(because it worked so well for Czechoslovakia) and other things like that. So the ideological basics for slavic nazism are Hitler's anecdotes and completely misinterpreted history, like it or not.
Now there is the less retarded part of them that basically applies nazism but with the shift towards Slavs, as in Slavs=a race of supermen(or race to breed supermen from - if we're talking about rare case of literate nazi) instead of Germans and then the same old thing. I don't know how many of them there are.
The third part that's usually lumped in the "neonazi" category are our local fascists but I think I don't have to explain what's the problem with it. They tend to have nasty tendency to glorify nazi collaborators though, so there might be a reason why they're lumped together into the same group.
Now those 3 groups - deluded Hitlerites, Nazi-converters and fascists tend to associate with each other hence the clusterfuck around them.
Then of course you have tons of edgelords and plain old hooligans who like the imagery of power related to nazis or are looking for good excuse to riot. And I wouldn't be surprised if they were the majority here.
One of the things that drive them is, at least I think it is - you have people who have relatively collectivist tendencies but the PC culture of the western left is something completely retarded for them and communism has bad rep in the region(do I even have to explain why?) so the only thing that's left for them is fascism/nazism. So this is more of an unused political capital and I think that the likes of Putin succeeded by learning how to use it.
I assume it's the same in Russia or Ukraine or whatever.
