The French cucked them into neutrality AND invaded them nonetheless afterwards. Switzerland still uses Napoleonic territory organization btw. Also, the USA acted as a bank for after the war in a more convincing and usefull manner than Swizerland could ever wish to achieve.
They didnt got invaded because they were German unofficial allies in both WW and that allied Nations near it had more important fronts (for instance for France, the German front was a bit more urgent).
