What about India? It had at least the last factor you mentioned.
>>
Their temporary boom is only set to go down. There is massive civil unrest in China and the legitimacy of the government lies solely on economic performance. After 1989, the CCP realised they were extremely lucky in putting down the Tienanmen Uprising. They realised they could no longer use outright force to subdue their people.

So the only things keeping them alive are 1) co-opting the entrepreneurial middle class and letting them explore capitalist avenues 2) allowing the populace to do low level protests to let off steam.

Once the money runs out to keep everyone happy, they're done.
>>
>>1104012
A lot of political fragmentation and obstructive federalism in India from what little I know. China has a more centralized style of government with everyone reporting upwards. It makes it easier for strong leaders to force policy through. It's not so easy in India. Governors aren't beholden to presidents. Their legislature isn't just a rubber stamp like China's is.

Amazing how India'a government is even more obstructionist than America's.

Modi has got like 20% of what he wanted done, and now is perma cock-blocked.
>>
>>1104063
I realize that. I was pointing out how India was richer than China in GDP per capita in 1990.

PPP China per capita is only $12,000 though. About lower middle-income in the world still.

It has a lot of natural growth to go.

There are a lot of reasons for Chinese growth but ultimately they're exploiting the openness of Western monetary markets and investing the money they make through Hebrew-tier loan schemes in a manufacturing industry that further exploits a Western willingness to abandon manufacturing. Not to mention they're extremely fucking corrupt. They cut corners and fudge numbers like you wouldn't believe. Remember, GDP is just a gross figure of economic output. It doesn't necessarily equate to a growth in affluence or mean that what's being produced/built is any good or put to any use.

They're also spending fucktons trying to create an easy route to the middle class but that isn't going so well because their people necessarily live like serfs in the system they've built. Ultimately their growth isn't that impressive given their enormous population and their looming environmental and demographic disasters don't bode well for the future of the state.

The Chinese cycle of empire continues.
>>
>>1104099
Is this supposed to mean something?
>>
>>1104178
>few

You also seem to ignore that in 1990 India was richer than China per capita. So how does it "follow the curve"?
>>
>>1104223
There is a direct corollary between a countries population and its potential domestic output. Only economic retardation can prevent this. If Mao had lost his rebellion the Chinese republic would have performed extremely well from the beginning, assuming they kept their markets open. Just look at Taiwan as an example.

If you don't think China is heading towards an environmental collapse you're just being willingly obtuse. And China's demographic woes won't come from too few children it will come from the fact that the next generation of Chinese citizens will be two thirds male - and that's a conservative estimate. A bunch of horny young men who can't get a wife in a rigidly traditional society that is going through environmental problems and economic upheaval is a recipe for disaster.

I know you're just a retarded commie who sees China as your last fallback in an economic debate but you really should do your research.

>It would be massive and there would be many what ifs.
Large amounts of manufacturing would cease causing an increase of price for a lot of products.
Commodities would tank, Australia would be even more fucked. Same goes for countries supplying China with Oil.
Company's who do business in China would have to write off large amounts of business
Hundreds of millions of potential refugees/starving people
NKorea would be a wildcard
Russia would be a wildcard
The billions of dollars going into Africa would stop
>>
>>1104965
I'd also add that I'm sure there would be internal 'warring' party's be they actually physically violent against eachother or not it more than likely wouldn't help the situation and produce more 'what ifs' based on if they get foreign support.

Protesting is not an act of revolution, but this is literally all part of the plan to develop a revitalized communist party. Which is why Xi is pulling the plug on the anti-Mao era position. The next stage of socialism is coming and it will be driven by the new mass of Chinese workers that have experienced the full harshness of modern capitalist exploitation and are aware of the revolutionary spirit and praxis of the past.

India isn't nationalistic nor isolationist, and is still exporting its resources while importing finished products, while letting corporations from other nations colonize them, giving away their land and water to Dasani, Monsanto, and the like. They are a fractured chaos of a democracy compared to the corrupt monolithic beast that is China.

Not that they are failing completely, but population is all they got going for them these days.

Oddly, historically speaking, that isn't usually how that works.
