New government conditionally surrenders to the allies, continues war in Eastern Europe to maintain control over Germany's acquisitions there. Possible transition back to democracy following the war, if they won (which they may or may not have been able to do). The movie leaves that out because obviously that's not as heroic.

Why would the Allies accept? The only thing the Germans could have really done was stop resisting in the west to allow the Western Allies to advance as far east as possible. Since this is post-Tehran, Stalin still gets Poland but Germany, Czechoslovakia and Hungary likely stay on our side of the Iron Curtain.
