Would World War 2 have been affected if the Easter Uprising in Ireland had actually worked? If yes, how so?
By "worked", I'm implying that it ends in a British defeat and Ireland is unified and functions perfectly as its own country.

The Easter Rising did 'work'. It's goal was to inspire through self-sacrifice further revolution with the end goal of founding an Irish Republic. By 1949, this had come to fruition.

That's not a joke. Invasion of Ireland didn't happen due to the British army in the north and De Valeras sympathy towards the Nazis.
Ireland has all ways been the key to Britain, covering the west coast and the south coast. Could effectively starve Britain.

You didn't need any where near as big a force to invade Ireland. Also far more landing area. With de Valeras help, it didn't even have to be a hostile invasion.

They didn't have the ships to transport an army across open water and if they did the RN and the RAF would have left them at the bottom of the sea.
Take a look at the map and think at what point is Germany going to get a significant enough naval force to transport an army to a suitable place to pick up said army from mainland Europe, let alone get it to Ireland, without being destroyed.
Keep in mind while you are thinking about it that the German navy (other than the U boats) spent the entire war in port because the Royal Navy would have torn them to shreds due to overwhelming superiority.

The scenario is Ireland is completely empty of British troops. There is some evidence, in real life, that de Valera was offered control of britain in the event of a Nazi take over.
If hostile takeover, five or six plus escorts. After Dunkirk Britain was short of everything.
Non hostile, they could have flown enough troops to construct runways to provide air support for troop landings.
A Channel crossing to invade Britain would need a massive force and air superiority due to the fleet.
A Ireland invasion could come from the west coast of France and in to the west of Ireland. We had No radar, or even air patrols at that time.
