Prussia 1806- just how did they get blown out so hard?

Napoleonic France > Prussia (and pretty much everyone else)
Not complicated
When the King of Prussia declared war against the French, Napoleon already had corps of le grande armee already deployed in Germany.
A week later, the antiquated Prussian army was out maneuvered and out fought by Napoleon at Jena, and Marshal Davout at Auerstadt.
Napoleon vigorously pursued the scattered Prussians for weeks afterward, until the French entered Berlin.
Europe was stunned.
The Prussians were living in the past.
They deployed and fought as if Friederich was still in command.
Napoleon's better trained and more mobile forces took apart the stiff formations of the Prussians.
Complacent army resting on long dead victories versus most aggressive military on earth.
Exactly what you expect.

Germans suck at warfare.

Lack of reserves-The Prussians counted on the "first attack" whilst the French preferred the "Final strike" where their reserves would be employed.

The whole situation with 3rd and 4th coalition is so retarded. Prussia didn't join allies in 1805, but declared war on Napoleon in 1806 when Austria had been already defeated. Nor Austria nor Prussia didn't wait for Russian troops to arrive to act together so Napoleon beat them one by one.
Prussia still won the war.
Napoleon is GOAT that's why
they didnt just fortify the elbe and wait for russia.
retards baka
