How come Germany's economic recovery program after 1929 was much more successful than the US's?
>>515108
Begging the question are we?
Germany's "recovery" programme required constant capital injections despite smashing the living standards of workers.
>>515119
It removed unemployment and increased the standard of living more than the US counterpart, though 1928 levels of prosperity were never reached.
>>515128
>1928 levels of prosperity

Friendly reminder that the subjective morality of law, developed over time by mankind, is far greater than any "objective" morality as defined by a far fetched claim that "god" magicked up your morality.

Hello, south sudan!
Ok in this thread we will discuss language, languages we know, languages we're learning, languages we'll learn and give advice and recs to other anons and dead tongues in general
I'll start off with a question, should I learn ancient greek or latin first?
>>514845
I'd have to go with Latin, but I have no idea why, just gut feeling. Learned latin in school, and it was pretty cool to be honest.
>>514845
Only Ancient/classical language I know is Biblical Hebrew. Can't be much help to you, OP.
>>514976
How did you learn biblical hebrew? Is there any merit to it?

This may be a somewhat silly question but I'll ask it anyway since it's definitely applicable to history:
Where would be a good place to buy historical militaria stuff in order to sell it on eBay/personal site? After quite a few rejections for employment, I'd like to strike out on my own with a few dollars of loaned money from family and see if I can do something that isn't basic wage slavery.
My mom's colleague's husband told me once that he was in auto sales, but when I asked if that was a good idea he said to do what you know....

How do we increase the average persons historical, economic and political literacy?
>>513834
by focusing on such things in education
create institutions in which we give them the information for several years and then test them at regular intervals. If they get 3/4 information of more correct on these tests, then they can move on to the next section/year. Republicans are against this shit because of le gubment boogeyman

Ontological arguments are defined as those made from logic alone with no reference to observation. But no logical deduction can tell you anything that is not already embedded in its premises. All logic does is draw the conclusions that follow from those premises and check for any inconsistencies. Only by observation can we demonstrate whether the premises accurately describe or reflect the real world. Therefore, all ontological arguments are pointless.
>>512819
>i just discovered new atheism and don't know what the word ontology means
If I were to assume a worldview of secular humanism, nobody would be able to deny it, given that I add that rejecting such a worldview makes you unreasonable, religious or discriminatory.
if however, the existence of such a worldview were affirmed throughout media, taught as sacred truth on the internet and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to accept it would become a mark of eccentricity and backwardness.
>>512831
All the ontological arguments are pure logic
What are some of the most powerful historical, no nation-bound organizations that exist today, except the Church and some great mafia organizations?
Were there any cases in history that such organizations wielded the power to rival that of nations? (again, except the Church) Could some of the modern companies/banks take enough power over the crucial aspects of a society to control it?
International jewry.

Absolutely. Look at the media.

The best part about that is that "Drittes Reich" is a unofficial propaganda term much like "Tausendjähriges Reich" (one thousand years empire), the correct term would be "Deutsches Reich" or simply German Empire
It's entirely the anglo's fault for not having concrete equivalents for "Reich" and "Kaiserreich"

Why did Ireland never cohere into a single nation state before the Norman conquest?
They all considered themselves to be part of the same ethno-cultural group, contrasting themselves with the Sassnach (Anglo-Saxons) and the Lochlannaigh (Vikings). They also had the same laws and religion.
In most of Europe, groups like this tend to end up forming a single political entity. This never happened in Gaelic Ireland. Why?
>>512386
>Why did Italy never cohere into a single nation state before the Risorgimento?
>They all considered themselves to be part of the same ethno-cultural group, contrasting themselves franks, and the germans. They also had the same laws and religion (for the most part).
>In most of Europe, groups like this tend to end up forming a single political entity. This never happened in pre italian italy. Why?
Dont know. But shit happens
Because feudal power struggle between individual lords? Uniting ethnic groups into single national units wasn't really a thing before 19th century and when it happened, it usually happened by the sword.

For this to have happened, Whitlam would have had to have dismissed the Governor General first. Or called an election.
Australians have a tendency to kick people when they're down, so he might see an electoral bump.
The central question is: for the broad tendency of the Whitlam political reforms to continue in parliament, a revolutionary movement was needed to prevent a coup / assassination...
