Why do people condemn the 4th crusade all the time, but no one mentions the massacre of the latins?
Not saying the 4th crusade was a good thing, but it seems like they provoked some kind of retaliation
Because they're latins so Catholics so evil superstitious people that eat baby flesh
That or it just wasn't well known until recently

Everytime we talk about it it gets mentioned bruh. Then byzaboos move onto muh riots, and then veniceboos counter with pay denbts, to which byzaboos (as it's tradition for Greece) can't answer.

Let's imply that the world decided that fighting tournament, similar to the one found in the Anime, "G Gundam" was enacted around the planet and was strictly followed by the world.
Who do you think would win if such a thing were to take place today?

What kind of a fighting tournament? Gundams? MMA? Lacross?
Anyway, probably America, cause drugs and money.

Every action we do, is for the purpose of avoiding suffering.
Think to yourself, why do I make any action at all? Why don't I just lie on the ground right now and never make an action again?
And the answer is because you will suffer, and you will pretty quickly die from either exposure to the elements, or thirst. And this is not some far off hypothetical problem in the minds of some ivory tower philosopher. No this is literally right now if you do not find protection and fresh water, you will die an agonizing death within 3 days. 72 hours.
I've...

What is she doing? She looks like she's studying. Why? Does she do it just because she enjoys it more than just laying on the floor making no action? I don't think so. Laying on the floor isn't fun, so she must do actions which don't feel as bad. But she doesn't look like she's enjoying herself studying. Why is she doing it? Because if she doesn't study, then she wont pass her course exam, and if she doesn't pass that, she will have to drop out, and then she will have no money ebcause she can't get a job to sell her labour for. And without money she can't buy food clothes and water from the supermarket, and without those she will die an agonizing death.
Life really has no positive value. If it did have value, then making no action would still feel pleasurable. But it doesn't.If you don't believe me why don't just lie down right now where you are and don't move at all. Pretty soon you will start feeling aching muscles, or you'll get thirsty or hungry, or you'll start feeling bored and non stimulated. And if you don't do anything and continue laying there, your suffering will only increase and increase and increase, and again this isn't some hypothetical thing, this is what will literally happen, your body will start getting extremely dehydrated your lips and mouth will crack you'll be in a horrible delrious state and eventualy lapse into unconsciousness and die.
That just shows me how bad life is. That you can't even just exist without very quickly (within 72 freaking hours - not long) dying. And long before that you will start feeling extreme amounts of suffering. Almost from the moment you stop making any actions, you will suffering. Aches or uncomfortableness, or anxiety or boredom, and then hunger and thirst and exposure to the elements and then coma and death
>>924613
life is very bad. I have proven this by showing that just life by itself has no value. if you don't believe me then stop making any action, and see for yourself the value of just existing. you will soon suffer and that will only get worse until you die.
People say "the good outweighs the bad". and my response is "what good"?
What is good in this life? All we do is struggle to hold off all manner of suffering. And for what? Only for one day our body will fail us and the suffering...

Chris Tyre or something along those lines writes some really solid books on the crusades
what are the tell tale signs of a shite book on the crusades?
Hey /his/
I'm trying to remember a certain point in history, maybe you can help.
It involved a rich family, likely the Rotschilds, who recieved early news that the war (not sure which one) was won. This information had yet to be relayed to the country and the financial realm of that country. The guy, knowing this information, lies to the financial moguls and tells them the war is lost and the market will soon be plummeting. Posing this as insider information, the moguls were quick to rid of their stocks before it inevitably fell in value; but when the news...

I am interested if you know who Charles the fourth King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor was. And what is teached about him in other countries.
I'm American, so approximately 99% of the people who went through the school system here would have absolutely no idea what Bohemia or the HRE were or that they even existed

Was Rome a multicultural city by the time the empire came about? And by that I mean were there people from all over the empire that worked and possibly lived there? What happened when Rome fell? Was watching ROME and there are people of all different cultures and I was just wondering if this was forced diversity stuff or historical accurate.

>Was Rome a multicultural city by the time the empire came about? And by that I mean were there people from all over the empire that worked and possibly lived there?
Yes, but multicultural in the sense that there were shitloads of foreigners living there, not in the sense that every culture was equally respected. If you're not a citizen, you're shit.
