The Trans-humanist Question:
Would you willingly have your arm removed so you could have a Robotic arm attached?
What is the benefit?
If I replace my right arm it would be fucking weird and I replace my left arm I could no longer fap
Only if it was more functional and didn't come with dealbreakers like:
-no neural feedback
-having to constantly chug anti-immune drugs
-having to constantly fix/buy shit for that arm
I'd plop my brain in a jar as soon as the tech is there.

yeah, that's ultimately what it comes down to. if it offers a distinct and obvious advantage without heinous drawbacks, I see no reason not to improve the human body. right now, and for the foreseeable future, the technology just isn't there to make it worthwhile.
Hello /his/. For my birthday, I have decided the best present the imageboards could give me were maps. That's why I've started this thread right here, to dump maps and save those posted by other posters.
To start with, here's a map of Slovene dialects I translated myself.

Part 1
Guptas(Goop-Ta) were a major power that rose to prominence in the aftermath of the Kushan Empire and its fall Around 240 AD. They are said to have started out, like most major ancient North Indian Dynasties in Magadha in north eastern india toward Bihar, what with the Nandas, Mauryas, Shungas, Prathiharas.
The dynasty started with Sri Gupta upon whom the records are scarce but it is known that Ghatotkacha (Gha-Toth-ga-cha) had established himself and his lineage and proceeded to rule from Magadha and subdued a handful of neighboring kingdoms, yet his greatest...

The gupta were destroyed in there fight against the "Huns" if I am not mistaken. Aren't they also responsible for alot of the mathematical advances that came from India.

pls stop
>>966688
Well apparently the pressures from the Sveta Huna(Hepathlites who may have been Avars instead of the huns) caused their downfall, but the name Huna and Hun are too cognate to be anything but some distant cousin of the Hun. But the records show that the last Huna Emperor to threaten the Guptas was Mihirakula, who was in turn totally defeated by the then Gupta Emperor Narasimhagupta.
But I doubt destroyed is the correct word, the empire collapsed and the descendants of the Kushans and the Western Kshatrapas, mainly...

Interreligious studies will cure almost anyone of their religious beliefs. That's why there are so many unitarians and universalists, it's the only position that remains viable once you're familiar with enough of the worlds belief systems.

>Resolute Blue Sword
Greetings from /tg/. For a 40k game I'm going to be playing in I wanted to name an extremely ancient ship in latin, and I'm pretty damn sure Google Translate isn't going to do the trick. Any chance one of you can help?
Also, "of the Emperor" was somewhat implied in this ship's naming if that makes a difference at all.
Google gave me Caerula Gladium Obstinata and that's my current placeholder name. I'm about 98% certain that it's absolutely butchered though.
>>962815
Evidently spoilers don't work in /his/. I learned something tonight.
>>962815
Confirmatus Caeruleus Gladius seems about right. The grammar is a little off in the Google translation because it thinks you're describing the colour blue as resolute. I might be wrong, though.
>>962910
That sounds likely. I mean, Google Translate is handy for getting the basic gist of something across but I've never trusted it to provide anything better than say terrible Engrish style translations like pic related. Though it has helped me speak to people who don't speak English before (after prefacing with something like "I'm using Google Translate, please forgive me if I sound stupid."
Thanks for the translation though. I'll keep a casual eye on the thread in case anyone else speaks...
