Stuff I need to know going from Roman Catholic to Eastern Orthodox. Bible? Rosary? Yada yada, I know almost jackshit about it so far. A lil' info before I wander off to go get converted would be grand. K thx.

Well you're free to fuck off if it's so boring.

It's nearly the same religion, I'd hardly call it a "conversion". The only difference is that you're going from a once-corrupt organization that used to be ruled by politics to an organization currently ruled by politics. The Russian Orthodoxy is just a propaganda tool. The religion itself is fine, like I said it's basically Catholicism, just don't buy into the Patriarch nonsense.

Technological advancement, economic growth, and the elimination of large portions of the world's impoverished young men who would otherwise become troublemakers.
Post brutal and badass shit said in the Bible for example. Gib it all
" I will fill your mountains with the dead. Your hills, your valleys, and your streams will be filled with people slaughtered by the sword. I will make you desolate forever. Your cities will never be rebuilt. Then you will know that I am God."

Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven, and He overthrew those cities, and all the valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

Industrial revolution
What happened to Argentina? It used to be the 7th country by per capita income in 1908, in front of Canada, Denmark and the Netherlands. They had an educated population, a booming economy and a stable political system. It was set to be one of the richest countries in the world, but somehow they managed to fuck it all up.
You tell me, did they have some kind of revolution or civil war or junta or something? I don't know anything about Argenta
Socialist policies.

America rolls in with that enormous army they historically drafted but couldn't get over to Europe quickly for lack of transport. If the Mexicans last 3 months, I'd be stunned.
Question for the religious here. If aliens landed on earth tommorow would you attempt to convert them to your religion? Why or why not?
Not Christian, but,

No, because there is no salvation for demons masquerading as et's.
>>1046607
No.
I'm Orthodox Jewish: For starters, we don't really believe in prosletyzing anymore. And secondly (although I'll frely admit that this is only a sub-sect of Orthodox Judaism), I believe that revelation and divine command is fundamentally remedial, a way of enabling one to rise above the materialist impulses and becoming properly spiritual.
An alien is almost certain to have an enormously different psychology than a human, have to wrestle with different kinds of temptations. Just...

Without this turning into a /pol/-tier race-baiting mudslinging shitfest, can we discuss the actual evidence for the existence of gas chambers and their use in world war 2?
From what I understand, as per the current official recount, all gas chambers are purported to have existed only in eastern europe in areas conquered by the USSR. And even in these camps, according the USSR claim, the gas chambers were destroyed prior to their capture, so all existing ones today are reconstructions. The initial claims were that all concentration camps in eurpe were extermination camps,...

Wasn't done by gas chambers. They aren't even efficient. The killing done was by ss firing squads. That's the only civilian killings ng that has sufficient evidence

I find it so fucking funny how Nazis both will complain about how the Genocides commited by their ideological kin are made up and that the ones committed by their enemies are hushed down.
I know, it don't stop from one of them actually being right, but it's still funny to watch.

Why is Eastern Medieval history much more interesting than European Medieval history, /his/? I'd much rather read about the empires of the Byzantines, Ottoman Turks, Arabs and Mongols than a bunch of small city states and kingdoms unsure whether they're secular or not, arguing over whether the Pope is their leader or not and then killing each other in the name of Christ.
>>1045936
Mmm.. Ok, why dont you do that then?

Medieval Caucasus, Anatolia and Khorasan were 'exciting' places to live in for sure.
