I'm gonna to be honest. I bought everything from WAM, alot from you as well. Until a few years ago. I got banned from UMD and Vidown, as i was trying to find clips that were no longer available to buy of the internet, and i was willing to trade to get them. That is it. The site was long gone and i wasn't old enough when the site was on to buy any of the clips. I got caught by a guy from UMD. And they banned me!. I expect what i did was wrong. Banning me wasn't the answer... Talking to me was. I work in the media and used to work in TV. Banning someone doesn't help, it makes things 10 times worse. But i understand why they did it, and i understand what i've been doing until recently is wrong.
I started to trade alot because i couldn't buy the material anymore. friends on email and sites like this.

Ok, I actually am not overly concerned about a small group of like minded people sharing my content and would agree in some part that it is good advertising. Problem is, people take it from here and post it to much a much wider audience, such as VK. Whole site rips that I have found over there are not good advertising, they basically put us out of business.

These are hard times with the amount of producers in the small market we share, exasperated by the people who give away our media to people in the hundreds to thousands.
The other issue is that you lot are gorging yourselves on the free media shared here, making it harder and harder to produce content that satisfies you.
I came here and made a fairly nice plea to ease off sharing my content and someone took it upon them self to attack me, which really didn't make me like the people here.

Does water have a cost in the production of WAM content?
I'm curious, because one of the things I don't recall seeing much of is slightly simpler water-plus-based WAM, such as taking an inflatable pool, filling it up with water, pouring ten+ colored jello packs in, and having two sexy girls go at it in a stripfight in there, dunks and spanks etc galore. Seems like aside from model cost (which admittedly I know little about), it would be cheap to produce and could even get buyers from non-wammers because it rides the line between mainstream and not.
I've always wondered why I never saw that sort of thing from the dunk tank community either, seems like things like jello packs would be a cheap way to get soaked colored girls for vids. Though this may be naive of me since I don't know much about what it all entails, outside experiments with my girlfriend.

I agree that there is a line between what content is likely to function as advertising and content that is overall likely to be damaging. That line is too often not well observed. For clarification, examples of content that is not likely to be overall damaging include severely outdated sets (which act as advertising for similar or updated newer sets) and content which is no longer available from the original source. All other types of shared content are probably either fuzzy or straightforward damaging to the long term perspective of the community (in the latter case I do approve of, or even encourage, DMCAs)
Thing is, the current situation has logically evolved from how the digital environment evolved and the evolution of the digital environment has also been visible within our community. What used to be organized mainly as many separate sites, most of which with a pure membership model, is now replaced by a large centralized marketplace with smaller stores and exclusive membership content on its edges. I however do believe that it is within the power of producers and platform combined to draw a large part of the people who practice sharing back to the regular channels of commerce.

Open a central section next but closely related to the central marketplace on which the advantageous kind of content is made available on regular basis without any sort of financial barrier (including umd membership). Why? The largest share of theft related damage comes from a very large group of people who each take just very little extra, people who score big are actually very rare and are only a very small share of total damage. The reason is simple, small sidesteps are psychologically much easier justifiable (to yourself) without having to adjust your self-image (as an overall good person). By creating the suggested platform, people are not jet in the mindset of sharing, the paid content is easily available and most people will realize that anything they do obtain (at that point) from sharing is damaging to the small entrepreneurs who create content (the advertising argument does not fly anymore). Those factors combined make a psychologically small sidestep a large sidestep, reducing the amount of people willing to take it in large numbers.
I know, sounds a bit farfetched, but nevertheless supported by established behavioral research. Besides, the concept of providing freely accessible “advertising” content has done miracles for the current leader in webcam services.

I agree with what you say.
However.
I was always someone who gives media away, I have always believed that shooting an extra set here or there as freebies helps to generate good feelings between myself and pottential customers. I also wouldn't really have an issue with some of my older content being shared, for the exact reason you mention.
But it all goes to pot when I go to VK and find over 200 of my clips in a public group, or, I come here and find my LATEST episode of GTG, bring shared. So where do we draw the line?
Sorry, but that should be my choice. I do all I can to make my prices as affordable and good value as possible, yet, it seems the cheaper it is, the more it's shared.
Perhaps producers should follow the Japanese model, increase their prices and use an expensive anti piracy password locked video files system. Seems to work, never see their media in these places no matter how much it's requested?
At the end of the day, it is difficult not to take file sharing personally, we put a lot of effort into our products, try to do the best we can for our paying customers and we get rewarded by them doing this, very demotivating.

Have you ever considered the streaming/on-demand method? Where someone can either cheaply "rent" a streamed clip for a week at lower quality, or buy it at a bit higher price for higher quality? R18's model is a good example of this, and allows even very old JAVs to make money years later, even when buying the clip would only be around $7-8 and renting is $3-4, and they serve a lot of stuff WAY more niche than WAM.

Leons vids are like 4 bucks each. Id rather buy a 4 dollar vid than rent a 4 dollar vid. Ill pay for scenes that i cant find on any tube sites, one example would be the ava hardy casting couch scene. By no means can I sit here and criticise as have downloaded hundreds of videos off these threads now and will continue to do so.
