Hello all,Tits Translator Steven_Even here again. I've been leading a Hentai Translation Project for some months now, where people gets to request old Untranslated works, following a set of soft "rules"(see below), and then maybe getting it translated by me and edited by some of this boards talented editors. The last thread was quite a success with several hundred posts and good requests.
I intend to continue this with the new thread and I hope we get lots of requesting and sharing in the thread!
[RULES]:
Please note that requests not following the rules will be ignored purely due to time constraints

1. Link a semi-old Raw Manga. Please use any source but exhentai (preferbly nhentai or g-hentai)ones since I cannot acces them. PLEASE check so no other group has already translated it.
2. Make sure it is "well" drawn, and appealing, and that the font seems readable.
3. Make sure the girl has big, full tasty boobs. See the OP picture for a hint about my preferred size.
4. Write a short description to why you would like this one to be translated, why you like it, why you think it should be translated.
5. Post the hottest pic from the work, this will pitch the manga to me, and also makes it easier to keep track of the requests.
6. A bit of curves on the girls are always a big +. A girl with personality is also a +

I suggest this story. It's the second (and last) chapter of Mother complex by maimu-maimu and only 20 pages long. The first chapter was translated more than a year ago, but no one seems to bother with this one.
The author is very good at drawing MILFs, but sadly a lot of his stuff is still untranslated.

I'll try and assemble a list of my priorities, but before I pick one, I usually go theough the requests that I'm interested in (all are not included in this ofc, due to not fittong my taste, not sticking to the rules, etc) and pick based on my personal preference and on the demand in the thread. This request is sort of a long shot, I realize. I don't expect you to comply, but I have nothing to lose from asking.
The translation I am requesting is Pieces 8: Wet Wild West by Masamune Shirow.
Why: Since Shirow has switched from being a mainstream artist to h, his work has been wildly popular. He has built up an impressive collection of materials he has drawn over the last ten or fifteen years that he has been drawing H almost exclusively. Strangely, no one has ever translated any of it. Maybe there were some early attempts, but the print was too small, so translators gave up. Maybe his work fell into some gray area between pin up art, serious CG art, and fapping materials so none of the translators who each work their own specialized genre.
I don't know, but the entire community of hentai fans would benefit if someone were to get the ball rolling and translate something of his.
I thought about picking a different title like Hell Hound or Wild Cat, but his stuff can get little strange in parts, and there is are monster girls in both of those. I thought that your rule against D materials might disqualify. WWW does have one particular picture with some beastiality content, but it is overwhelmingly vanilla and lezzie stuff.

I'm a big Shirow-fan myself, and you're right in that that it's odd noone has picked up this work, seeing how famous he is.
I would LOVE ro translate this actually, but I see two issues:
1. Someone would have to edit it, and that someone would have to put in quite and effort to get that textcolor and bubbles and stuff right, since as you say, his work is more an artbook than a h-manga in a way.
2. The font used for the japanese is almost hand-drawn, or at least in that style, which makes it considerbly harder to translate. I could probably still pull itt off though... At least one chapter at a time...

Sure! Pururun is the "sound" of breasts jiggling or of curvy parts of the body (like stomache and ass for instance, but mostly breasts ofc) bouncing. It can be other things bouncing too ( like jelly), but if ofc mostly used for boobs. I suggest translating it to "bounce, bounce" or something like "byoung, byong" to get the sound across. Me personally I like everything on screen being in english. That's why I've been trying to learn kana. (Thank you real kana) At the bare minimum I think important sfx should be mandatory though. I don't remember which it was but there was a story that was about a group sneaking around and the sneak sfx wasn't translated. it annoyed me greatly. I completely understand not translating sfx like the one in my picture, or just generic moans. that's just an ocd thing. also that specific work as I said is murdering me. you see those kana!? those are the easy ones! half of them I'm guessing. the script I have notates them. but the handwriting is so terrible... Are you using hitomi's scans there?
I checked the raw and this is what I came up with. Each page is gonna be a bit different so make sure to use the eyedropper tool to check or just look at the histogram. You might want to make a script for it to do faster.
Also, don't forget to change the image to black and white as it look like these were accidentally color scan (you can see from the histogram).

looks fine. couple of things though. Try to keep the text in bubbles unless it exceeds it in the raws. try a squeeze warp on the "Ahh! don't!" can also enlarge the heart to match the font size. Hm, that's a very weird claim, I just use my own skill and a kanji dictionary for the kanjis I don't know. Japanese is a Very contextual and hard-to-translate language, which is why you sometimes have to rewrite some thing to make it meaningfull in english.
For instance, something like a two word sentence in Japanese can mean a 10 word sentence in english, so much is implied by context in Japanese.
That said, it's a hard language, and I've surely translated something weong here or there, since I'm not a native or 100% done with my studies, something I feel I have been very open about.
I'm a big fan of hentai and I like it, I can assure you I would get norhing out of making stuff up, if you double check some stuff I've done I think it'd be clear in seconds that I translate the actual text rather than rewrite or ise google as some people would suggest, but since I'm not a native japanese speaker, and not a native english speaker, I do recognise the fact that i can 1. Get something wrong sometimes, though I really try not to, and 2. Translate stuff more literal than maybe I should, since I don't have the english language as natural in my head as others might :)

None taken :) The problem with "my" level of skill in the language is that, if I get some kanji wrong, like if I read the word "moon" as "morning" (they're similar, but easy so it would ne er happen but, just as an example, that might fuck the whole sentence up since i then think they talk about a morning and not the moon.
It's hard to explain exactly but, that's also why I tend to lean towards stories, like your meme50 one, that has an easy font to read and not too much text. I can assure you that one is 99% correct, like my double translation of the bonus pages actually show if you compare to another person's translarion.

Not sure if it's a useful tip for you guys, but you can convert commonly used text such as moans and sfx into shapes and add them to your shape library. This way you have quick access to them, without having to use the text tool, changing your font and manually adjusting it every single time.
I've just recently started editing mangas, but I've been messing with photoshop for a while, and I found this 'trick' to be somewhat useful.

You can also just select any text layer and reconfirm it with the numpad enter key. adapts that font/settings to the next opened text window, even across psds. Usually if I have a lot of similar stuff I just duplicate and slightly modify the layer. I often drag layers across psds too. great time saver. The biggest timesaver for me would probably be finding whatever font the japanese use for their hearts. I know it isn't handwritten, and I know it's a font, but I've never been able to find it. or how to type it. I thought it'd be just hato ハト but I'm not that lucky.

It'll be more trouble than it's worth. Remember that they'll get deleted eventually because of Wani. Just pick a few fonts that have worked well for you and use them. I'm not trying to tell you to do a low quality work but just don't get too attached to it. The last purge has been a while so, you get the idea.

Kerorin is one of my favorite artist! I've actually requested a lot of her stories months before and also to a translator friend I work with. I had to stop requesting because I thought it was too selfish of me lol. Never imagine that people like Kerorin this much since so few of her stories are translated. The tanks have been sitting there forever. The stories are linked even across tanks and magazines so it's easy to get suck in when you're reading.

How about this one? The author is relatively new and there's not much translated by him. I think he has a good sense of humor and I like that the girl is a bit more on the thick side.
Maybe you could at least do the first chapter so that he will get more awareness and someone else gets motivated to translate the other ones.
