There's a save file in the game's folder, should have "sav" somewhere in the filename or file extension. Loading an old save in the new game, going to "Memories" and back, and overwriting the old save slot should get it to work properly, if I recall correctly.
Hot damn. I saw this game in here quite a while ago, I come back and there's still threads on this? I'm surprised, to say the least. That was enough to catch my attention, because what could be in this that could make it go... viral?
Long story short, I got to it, and it was a clever guilt trip at first. Taking care(or not) of scarred, damaged person was a promising start and a solid ground-up to further development. It was one of my first nakige games or a VN game in general for that matter. I wasn't prepared for the feels to say the least. And Rin herself doesn't make it any easier since she's deliberately made to be confusing and frustrating to deal with. People say her dialogue is hard to get, but miss the fact that that is very much the point of it.
I will admit, near the end I was so frustrated myself, I started skipping some of the scenes but the overall emotional roller coaster this game gave me still haunts me to this day. Whenever I think of her last line in the happy ending I just want to curl up in a ball and cry. I still can't decide if that is good or bad, though.
I haven't play that much VNs, probably less than half a dozen. But I can safely say I prefer the happy themed once, like Nekopara or stuff like that. Real life is full of misery, I don't see the point of transferring it to the virtual reality as well. Although I admit, I'm glad for the experience that KS gave me.
