I got these to work for Cardboard. I'm using Clover, so I opened the images in the browser, flipped them horizontally, and made sure the address bar was hidden. They work pretty well that way.

I can't get any to work by crossing my eyes, and I'm sure anyone saying they can is lying. Even if the 3D effect is achieved, they'd be far too blurry.

Hopefully this works for you - I originally had problems seeing these and those magic eye posters and the trick I used is using a finger as a focal point shifter.
Try this with a picture in the thread - look at it while holding up a finger at the dividing from a short distance, focusing on the finger first, then shift your focus to the picture. If you notice your finger become 2, then the steroscopic image should be visible.

I always just look through the image, so your focal point is far away. That way your left and right eye are looking at each image directly in front of them.
If I try to cross my eyes (left eye looking at right image, and right eye looking at left), it's always blurry.

For me the trick was to cross my eyes until I saw three images. Then I focused on the middle image until it sharpened into the image :) Good luck. It's so worth it; this shit so cash

I think looking at a far focal point gives a better result, as I also notice more blurriest when crossing my eyes. It also doesn't make your eyes uncomfortable after a while like crossing does. However I find it's much harder to focus at a distance willfully to see the image and have to try several times and even once I get it I can lose it very easily without concentration, whereas crossing my eyes and focusing on the central image is very easy. I also can't do a far focal point with images much larger than the size of a phone but with crossed I can do basically anything, some blurrier than others but resolved into a single image.

Oh and if you see four images you've gone a touch too far, though seeing four can be a good starting point for un-crossing into three and then focusing on the third.

Well, as long as it's fappable! That still happens to me, especially when I begin a uh session. I've noticed having my screen too dim worsens the issue. Maybe some contacts or glasses can't accommodate the weird eye angles? Hm...

It's funny because shortly after posting that, I finally got it to work.

You're just going back too fast. It's a really subtle eye movement to get the blurry middle picture to focus. Go slow!
for the gorillionth time guys, you can't just put the same image next to itself and expect it to work. You need to modify one image in such a way that would simulate binary vision. The right image should look like what your left eye sees, and the left image should look like what your right eye sees. When you cross your eyes your mind blinds the images into a single one.

I always struggled with blurry images. I can create the new image and it does have a 3d effect but I would have to go quite close to the screen to see the details of the picture. I read somewhere someone had a better result by viewing it via their phone, tried it last night and it is indeed quite clear as opposed to PC monitor.

Okay I actually figured out one way to do it.
I found this link which details how to add 3D images to a video and how to flag the video as something that can be watched in 3D: https://forums.oculus.com/viewtopic.php?t=20399
It worked well for the most part, but I noticed that certain images work better than others, and a few of the images actually require you to still go a little cross eyed.

It is the better method because parallel requires the images be closer together, which, I'd assume, is why you're having to hold the picture out away from your eyes, to reduce the distance of the images.

There's plenty of useful apps that can let you browse through your folders in cardboard. Get a cardboard with a button, or make your own button (I made a small coil and touch a wire with a battery to generate a magnet for a short moment triggering the click). I also have a cheap micro USB to female USB 2.0 adapter, because these stereoscopic pics won't work with the cardboard image viewers, which create two images themselves (showing 4 qt3.14s at the same time). I attach a mouse to my phone (thanks Google for making this possible) and scroll that way. I don't know how to get rid of the bar on top in clover, so I'd download and then watch.

You've crossed them too far. Slowly uncross until the middle two merge. Then experiment with focusing you eye muscles so that the middle image becomes clear.
