I was waiting for a new thread just to say how much I really appreciate all of the editors and the work they put into their videos. HMVs have become my main fap source for the past couple of years. I even end up listening to the music used at the gym or elsewhere as it ends up charging me with some kind of sexual energy and motivating me. The thing is tripfags are abusing the tripcode function. The whole fucking point of a trip is to distinguish and verify a poster from a previous thread for production purposes. As in a poster that might be posting a story in which anons get to pick an option the narrator presents. It worked fine with the KatawaYandere threads.
Another good example would be a Fansubs PR guy. They would prove their tripcode so that posts with that trip would be trusted as from that Fansub's PR guy.
Those fags are using it as a username and password to attentionwhore and label themselves as a poster, often not producing actual substance to the threads they are in.

Most companies (mine) get you a license to the adobe cloud which includes all their products. I wanted Vegas but they insisted on retraining me for premiere.
I had about 100 hours (not a lot) on vegas before I switched over. it's not too hard but there is a learning curve.

I made one for the first time ever a few days ago for my personal use... and I can't, the source material is totally my stuff but I just can't bring myself to use it. I don't know why it feels kind of weird. Did it ever happen to you ? or am I just a bitch ?

it's basic as fuck dude, I use an editing software for braindead people. All I did was remove the anti boner stuff and blabla, made jump cuts, and add dudebro techno over it nothing else. There are some attempts to synchronize the beat with the positions and bukkakes but that's all. I'll make a mediafire account and share it if you guys really want to have a look at. I guess it could be helpful to have some feedback from the experts but keep in mind there's a world of difference in terms of quality between this and the stuff posted here.

I don't think it's quite as cut and dry as that. There's plenty of factors that attribute to not "using" your own videos. Staring at the same clips for hours and hours on end doesn't exactly help when it comes time to watching the final edit. If you're like me then by the time you do a final pass you've heard the song hundreds of times, and thus that loses any sense of surprise or freshness as well. Another factor, at least for me, is that no matter how technically proficient or interesting I feel that a segment is, having worked on it over and over and trying out different ways to accomplish some effect, I just get a sense of fatigue from it. It's quite hard for me to ignore the "oh god that was such hell to make" from the "but it looks quite nice". Add on the fact that I'm overly critical of my own work, and you end up with a tough time "using" your own content.

I sort of agree, but I think the distinction in my mind relates to what you said about maybe that being impossible for some folks as opposed to just being something that you can do if you really try to distance yourself from the creation.

I'd say it just depends how happy you are with the HMV to determine how fappable it is to the editor. If your just not happy with the outcome of the final render, it's just not going to be fapable to you.
For example, I haven't fapped to my 'Lawnmower' HMV since I made it. I know its a decent HMV, but I'm just not happy with it, so it's just not going to happen.
But then again, 'Hey Fujino' 'Busty Sister Bomb' and 'What is HMV' I come back to very frequently because I am VERY happy with their outcomes.
All it really comes down to is make HMV's for yourself and not for the thread, and you will love to fap to your own HMV's. Don't strive for perfection because there never is, and never will be a perfect HMV, but if you make it for yourself, atleast your happy with it,
