With so many of these requests not being /h/ your request is somehow more acceptable. However, people get salty when one guy gets multiple deliveries, it's considered greedy.
Some people wait several threads with no response, or get half deliveries. For this reason seeing someone ask for something new right after getting a delivery might be seen as "unfair". It's all perspective.
Cactus was a motivated guy, but he could use a little quality over quantity. If only there was some place to discuss this kind of stuff, I don't want to shit up the thread with "technical" discussion.

WIPs *are* good. Generally speaking.
The problem isn't with showing progress or allowing for flexibility, the issue is that it takes up space and can frustrate users waiting on updates on different deliveries.
Further to this, posting WIPs turns a request/delivery thread into something remotely similar to a personal art blog, that sort of thing is even more disagreeable, especially if it gets spammy.

Im still motivated just busy. I had such a high quantity to quality ratio because I'm new as can be and still workin on bettering my work. The quality wasnt actually lessened by my speed thats just how bad I was.

I've never minded folks requesting multiple times, it isnt greedy. The images get done because colorin' folk want to do them. If your images keep gettin' done it's because someone liked it. If folks are havin to request through many threads their image probably isn't interestin' and it ain't on anyone in the thread to not hurt their feelins by requestin/colorin.

Speaking of gripes, more than anything else in this thread there's one thing that actually gets on my nerves in a major way.
People who throw out empty compliments then immediately point at their own request. Geeeeeeet the fuck outta here. Most of the time their comment is so generic it might apply to anyone's delivery. These guys see a delivery and immediately try to throw their foot in a closing door by feeding someone's ego.
The only other thing that comes close to that, is the people who have commissioned some work, fucked over the artist by not paying and ask the work to be completed here. Get a life.
And finally, not a gripe so much as we're all tired of seeing it. Sketch factories. People like Legoman who just churn out tons of unfinished stuff. Granted this is an objectively good thing since it gives other people an actual source of income through being paid to complete it. Bringing it to /h/ just rubs me the wrong way. Go take it to Vintem or SoubriquetRouge etc.

Now with compliments, I can understand them sounding generic. It's hard to describe or point out what you like you just know you like it. But I know what you're sayin', when folks try to circumvent the "Don't bump your request rule" by asking someone to do it in a "compliment post". If you actually want someone specific to do your post just fuckin' ask for them when you post it.
Havin' folks color your commissions is pretty trash, but I'm poor I can see penny pinching being fair dues. They got what they paid for, nothing more, it's their right to do with it as they will.

Yep, fairly common. Artist asks if "this is what they want", and to pay to finish the request, requester takes the content and calls it quits.

Most of these requests are pretty awful desu. Either you're asking for entire pages/multiple scenes, horrible lineart, obscure fetishes or even non /h/.

Let's talk.
Choice in colours needs work, but more than anything that lineart is unworkable.
Even if someone is completely inept, having good lineart can make something look perfectly acceptable. It doesn't help that the art here is, frankly put, disastrous.
But let's look past that for now.
The choice in colours. Your skin tone and shading has little effect to add form, reflect lighting conditions or even surface qualities like smoothness or reflectivity etc.
The way you've sorta smudged it all over the place, with no real concrete light source means it makes little contribution.
You'll get huge benefits out of picking colours that play nicely, as well as keeping bolder ones for subjects, not the purple/green nonsense for background.
Colour temperature is important, hair is too bold, highlighting does nothing for it.
Blend/clip some colour onto blush/nipples, the heck are you doing with black shading.

I erase anything that goes out of the lines of course. But seriously, a few things give me leniency when I'm coloring. Setting the line-art to multiply (instead of the colors) allows you to paint over/under previously laid colors and when I shade I select everything filled within a layer (I use ps, so ctrl+click the layer) so it doesn't pour outside of the intended area.

I've implemented multiple shades, glowing hearts, slight chomatic abberition, heart eyes and I uncensored it.
If you zoom in on the unsencored part, you can see that's a bit messy but I think it's still okay.

Its not about knowing the character or not, its about setting a standard and following.
