If you listen to the DLSite samples, they all sound like glitch-core or abstract horror shit. The part I don't understand is that people have written good reviews on a number of them, like the type you'd see on normal hypno audios. So, somebody likes them(?).

The answer is "very yes". I learned Japanese in order to play VNs. But hypno audio has easily been the best unexpected benefit for me.
The good news about hypno audio is that, since it's meant to relax you, it uses really simple language. I've listened to 50+ of them and I've never had a single "wait, what the fuck is this person saying?" moment. I'd imagine it wouldn't take longer than a month or two to reach a competent point for that type of audio (especially since you already know anime). If you learn some grammar, look at the scripts from a few audios and learn the type of words they use, you could have that shit down in no time.

Just uploaded Ayaka's latest broadcast, as well with Kanokos today's private live stream for her exclusive members (12.14.2015). In Ayaka's past broadcast, she just talks about random things, that's about it. She also somehow screwed her microphone settings or something, so the audio only comes on the left side. As for Kanoko's, she does an hour of ear cleaning whilst soft talking about random stuff as well.
I also tried to do something special today. If you guys go into the folder and find the file, you'll see that it's inside a zip file rather than just the file itself being uploaded. Reason for this is because I included an subtitle file inside that will show comments from people during the live stream, so you get to see what people commented to Kanoko/Ayaka during stream. The subtitle format is in .ass (Aegisub), works with VLC & MPC-HC etc. Comments may not pop up if you skip to certain parts, however it loaded up fine for me if you start the video from beginning and don't skip. Enjoy.
