I know they release infrequent updates but they kinda took the money and ran. Once they made a shit ton of cash they split the dev teams up and started making a bunch of other games on top of Starbound, kind of sitting it aside.
The guys on /sbg/ on /vg/ could give you the scoop on why Chucklefuck sucks, but they claim to hate the game despite playing it and posting in their general daily. They didn't update for almost the entirety of last year.

There exists no western equivalent of DLsite (free indie publishing of hentai) as far as I know.
The companies that sell uncensored VNs are localizers, they license VNs from Japanese producers then translate them and release them on their site.
Seismic already has a translation and he already has a platform to release on, I doubt any of the western localization companies are interested in that.
In any case that would be a lot of hoops that Seismic would need to jump through in order to please a completely unproven audience... I have a hard time seeing it happen.

I am a bit exaggerating all of this in the name of fun and to try to get people off the topic of "is it released yet?" and bitching out Seismic. I grew up riding dirtbikes and offroading with ATV's so I suppose I would have got a streetbike at some time if I didn't see the anime. Though I did briefly consider what bike Liru would like if she was a living being riding out in the real world before I purchased my newest bike.
On a different topic, I am sort of glad Seismic isn't tweeting as much lately. I hope he is getting out of the house and maybe going on vacation and enjoying life. I wouldn't say that. Liru is hands down the best. At least for me. Aiko, while polite and good intentioned is extremely heavy and very clumsy. Also prone to electrical/mechanical failure. If all you want is a temperamental walking encyclopedia and domestic servant, Aiko is your girl.
Uma seems to be the most childlike. Pachira is the most high maintenance and is a bit of a snob. Keime is a chaperone for the girls so she doesn't really count.
Yeah... Liru fits just right. She seems to be the wisest, level headed, physically fit and all the other girls tend to look up to her as well. Liru is the girl I would rather go have a party with (picture related, it was last Saturday), go on an adventure, or be a most excellent travel buddy.

I absolutely agree that Liru is perfect for own H-game. Everything about her design screams sexy, capable and fun, while the other girls rely on various Moe attributes and clumsiness to fill their niches in the cast and push the story forward.
That's why I say the other girls can have their own H, they're able to appeal to people because they're designed that way.
Lets start with the lolis. Pachi and Uma totally fill that category.
I'd say you either have Uma energetically and clumsily fumble her way around a penis. Hell, work in her usual magic somehow like trying to take a shortcut to instantly make the guy satisfied, and instead multiplying the amount of guys she has to satisfy.

Figured it was pretty obvious. The product was originally set to release last year at a date long missed. The author is unable to meet deadlines or is intentionally leading on his potential customers for whatever reason. Both are bad.
He has made sequels before, trying to lump everything in to the one product isn't always a good decision when he's expressing so much concern about customer interest and overseas sales figures.
So more content isn't necessarily true, higher quality is entirely subjective unless we're talking pure metrics. So both points are purely speculation and not appropriate either way.
IMO The correct move for him now would be transparency. "Here's what I've done, here's what's left.". Instead he drops cryptic messages and talks about stuff. I get it, it's a personal twitter, but it's quite disappointing to see him post some combobox after an arbitrary length of time.
Why is this a bad thing? It's really not a big deal, but it leaves a lot to be desired in his communication with the fanbase, general public. If he could operate more professionally it would be unanimously well received.
