I've got a bug in this game where one personality doesn't actually speak during conversation/sex, and when asking about hobbies or something it just skips to the end of the conversation. I'm using AppLocale, and I can't find anything on the wiki.

Alright I just recently got this game been playing it for a while now and I'm ready to try out some mods. So I installed Illusion Wizzard 0.5.2.0 (most recent) After installation tried to install mods but no luck. Went to options tried to Specify AA2play.exe all it keeps coming up with is "jcp05_00_00.pp not found!"
Got the Editor to work properly but still can not apply mods. I've been searching FAQ's and Forums with no luck whatsoever If anybody has the answer to this it would be much appreciated!!!

If you're still getting that message, it most likely means you are not up to date on all your DLC and append sets.
I would suggest going back before using Wizzard and copy paste the appropriate items.
Or to be thorough, do your whole installation again.

Reinstalling it the best/last option. If you can retrace your steps - sure. However, if you already did part of the installation and put the either main or edit folder within the other, reinstall.
Doing this causes the game to flip through directories within each other which can causes problems.
Search youtube for "aa2 installation". I think it's a funny video for installation. Also, it does not specify how ever dlc/append set is installed. Treat append sets similar to DLC when installing them.

I would suggest making an extra folder for any characters made, unzipped dlc folders, mods, and disks so it will be easier to access when doing a reinstall in the future.

There's no actual way of knowing unless via what DLC version you have.
From what I last recall it should be up to 12. So one of your downloaded dlc files should be named:
jg2_03_plus12s
This is what I have myself. DLC itself added extras bits and piece in your character editor. Those items should include hair options and a couple more personalities and traits.
For anyone modding, be aware that mods will conflict with one another. There is the BigPack HEXA which contains the most commonly downloaded mods and wraps it up in a nice package.
Just check the file content before installing the mod via Wizzard.

I'll be nice and help some people out here. All advice pretty much comes down to: Read the AA2 pastebin and follow the guides properly. Yes, AA2 requires effort to install and mod, and the game doesnt run very well. Thank the devs for that and make the best of it.

Haven't play AA2 in a while but when I try to run it now it claims there's no config file, and indeed there is no config file. It's a long shot but anyone had this problem and know a way to regen the config without having to redownload/reinstall, etc?

The file could of become unreadable or something from corruption you could try to recover the file but that will take just as long as reinstalling the game
