It's simple. The models are terrible (look at these joints) and look like plastic dolls. I've seen better textures, environment, lightning, effects from many circles and even some I don't even like. It can have the best variety in scenes in the known universe I wouldn't care if it the actual 3D modelling part in that 3D hentai video isn't up to par.

FWIW, this is what Umemaro was doing 10 (ten) years ago. Yeah it's Ume and he has enormous dedication, yeah he has more experience or whatever. I know that. I still believe that as of the 2010's I can expect many times better modelling from a serious 3D circle with the tools now available. Next to it is what Dollhouse was doing in early 2006.
Of course if I dig up the dirt I can find some rather cringe worth stuff from almost any circle in the Pastebin. See Edge Systems; and even then the shaders and lightning aren't as miserable and the modelling if of higher quality (at the very least, no bad joints). And I'm gonna be honest, I dislike their stuff very much. However, I have no good reason to accept as "decent" as of today (!) a work that manages to look many times worse than what some people were doing ten years ago. Especially in the 3D field.

This is the first time I've heard of Mipo Z and after looking for it, I have to agree that he does very good work. Personally, I place value more on animation than 3D models and texture and to take your example, Umemaro's earlier works does indeed have 3D modelling which look good on stills and screenshots but the actual animations itself were pretty mechanical and awkward then.
In fact I think Mipo Z's animations and scenes are better than at least 80% of the 3D stuff out there currently

It's not as much as valuing one over the other but having decent amounts of both. For a reverse example, Sybylla's works are pretty but completely robotic and hence it doesn't make the list either. The promo art is pretty, shaders, lightning and textures good but it's animated like crap, the rooms are empty, the smiles of the girls creepy, so on so forth. And quite frankly their renders look better than some of the other circles in the list but y'know.
Honestly for 10 years old stuff, bar the god awful resolution I fin Ume's works haven't aged that poorly considering we are talking about 3D-rendered works which in general age very badly.
