No you fuckwit, they're terrible. The perspective is way off, way too deep, and you're making distortions terribly. It hurts my eyes to look at, your spatial awareness must be in the shitter.

Cross your eyes, so that the two images overlap.
You should see three versions of the image, one in the center which is in 3d, and one on either side, in 2d.
Attempt at converting one of those images to Oculus Rift. Tried it out & it works fine, but the image needs more background to fill the rest of the screen.

wow, i stopped looking for stereoscipic pictures quite some time ago, but there are many great pictures in here. and some really horrible ones. luckily, the latter can be easily recognized and skipped by looking for the FIRSTMAN label.

I can do the crosseye thing with smaller images, but I can never do it with bigger images like most of these. Is there a special trick to make it work, or is it just experience?

Try it on your phone, it's a lot easier on a smaller screen
Decided to go ahead and start writing this tool.
Never used gimp before and fucked up the bottom when tracing, but so far the maths-based approach is looking promising
