Thanks for any serious opinions!

None of them really stand out as being better than the other the exception being the last one, I think you need to work more on your font choice especially with the "comic-sans-esque" font you've used in a few of the logos, if I were you I would be focusing on developing your last one further
>>
>>269002
What the hell am I looking at?

There's such a mishmash of styles and weights and choices in each of these, I don't feel any cohesion in a single one but the last, and the only reason the last is okay is because it's so generic and uninspired.

If you're making a logo like this, you have to think about how it would be used in alternate applications as well. I'm assuming the most obvious would be a standalone "VD," which most of these logos wouldn't work for either. Think about how you would design something that could be used in a variety of ways and contexts, then that should help in finding some consistency and picking a direction to take the entire logo.

Along with that, if you're wanting to go with this dish concept and really push it, think about how you could incorporate that kind of iconography as a part of your design. It'll help give the logo some actual character and make it memorable instead of just being yet another generic wordmark.

maybe try with the fonts montserrat and valken (both free for commercial use) also don't mess too much with the typeface and make something simple. there's some effects on illustrator that could make the text look interesting without having to modify too much the typeface (pic related.)

no one
it looks like you have thrown a lo of styles in a magic kettle and just stirred for while
there's no consistency

1. I don't understand what you were trying to achieve here with the Y, V and D, but it didn't work because it looks terrible, none of the letters correlate and the Y barely looks like one.

2. I like the colours, the font is a little 'Pinterest' looking though, and what the fuck is that V doing?

3. D looks like a V, still got that round comic sans looking shit font going, the "Your" doesn't match the rest of it at all.

4. What is this a pasta sauce brand? Frozen pizza? Never go red and green. V looks like a Y, no capital D.

5. Probably the best of the lot, but that's not saying much, the font choice is comical, looks like something for a childs brand, but at least the letters look like what they are meant to be. classic meme colour choice of black and red.

The bottom one appeals to me the most. It looks like a professional established brand logo. Atleast more so than the others.
>>
>>269108
These are just as bad.
>>
>>269002
The beat one us the last one. But only because it looks like one thing and not 10 things slapped together. Get a concept. Get one word that sums up everything and also how the target market should perceive you and go from there. Don't start with implementation, start with concept. Only after you have the core can you create a design. Design 101, get a concept
>>
Please donĀ“t use Lobster. The font has already been used tons of times everywhere.
>>
>>269002
top one is all over the place

second's V is kinda retarded, but this one has the most potential

third's D is weird

the fourth one looks like it's one of those sites that present a fake video player, then ask you to fill a "survey" to "unlock" the video, and ultimately leech a few dollars off of you

bottom one looks like a shitty porn site with those "this ugly motherfucker is banging hot chicks" ads
>>
>>269002
3rd would work if you made the D look less like a V. And use something a bit nicer for the iral ish.

3 different typefaces is too much.

OP listen to this^. That's the only actual advice that's going to help you. If you really want a good logo start with an actual design process. Do actual research. It looks like you're just playing with Photoshop effects.

Don't listen to the guys who say quit design. Unless you choose not to do research and continue what you're doing now. then quit.

Try to emulate an old diners logo with black and white behind neon red "lights" of the viral dish.

I would copy the top left or bottom right

the worst thing you can do, (that nobody seems to understand here) is post work without giving any context to it whatsoever.

Its tough to gauge the quality of the idea when theres nothing explaining it.

All people can really say here is "i like that one more because its red"
>>
>>271041

Im gussing its for a restaurant.

And that, you want an old sort of diner look.

Quirky letters, etc.

If thats the case, the 3rd one is the best by far, but absoloutely needs more work.

The biggest drawback is the D is not reading well enough. Don't rotate letterforms or glyphs unless its for a specific reason. Keep it as it was meant to be - if you need to alter it, do so, but don't rotate.
>>
I actually think the last one is ok, but I think I'm the only one assuming that this is for some sort of shitty click bait site.
>>
>>271099

Also, upon researching for about 30 seconds, yeah, it looks similar to this fucking logo.

Not sure if that's a plus or a negative, ti be honest.
