For my AS History class, I am supposed to be creating an infographic poster on the Space Race.
Can you provide any tips, improvements or otherwise advice?

Get you some thin ass sans, set them bitches in all caps, throw in a fuckload of tracking. Bam, your typography is a fuckin' astronaut. Ditch the serifs unless it's for body copy. Wait, no just use sans for everything.

Lucky for you, space is already a thing. It's got a color palette that people see and think, Oh look, there's some outer space shit going on here. First off, it's black like your dad's ass, and empty unlike your dad's ass. So keep the shit dark, with lots of negative....space.
Look up some pictures of space. Try to find real ones, not the ones that NASA uses to lie to us about the moon landing. There's already a color scheme to work with, and it turns out that some of the shit is complementary as fuck. I grabbed this picture of some space jizz from Pixabay. See all that orange and blue and white? Blam. Your color scheme is figured out.
You can do what I did and accent your headlines with that hazy little effect called an "outer glow", but don't get carried away with that shit because it doesn't take much to look tacky as a motherfucker. If I find out you've been abusing photoshop effects, I'll find you and slap your parents, your teacher, your pets, and your bitch.
Throw in some spaceship looking shit, like that grainy screen effect on the subheading (»AYYY). Look up interfaces from your favorite sci-fi shit (mine is looking like a broke ass version of Dead Space). Take inspo from that. And it's an infographic, embellish it a little (but that doesn't mean you get to throw restraint out the window, you cocksucker).
Now, fuck my five minute design and my ten minute lecture. Do some cool shit and maybe show us what you come up with.

This, you want your font to be from the future, sleek, technological, basic, stay away from anything fancy, curly or has useless frills.
People seem to forget when picking a font it's got to tell you about the design without even reading the words. You wouldn't use a pixel font in a Victorian England design, and you wouldn't use curly shit for spaaaaaaaace.

Hmm, I mean we should focus on the design aspect here but can you throw in a timeline or a diagram? Pure text is a bit tedious.
Also the grey text doesn't offer much contrast on the background and since sans is already harder to read it's straining to read.

That wall of copy you're trying to jam fuck into my eyes? That's just way too much shit for an infographic. If you gotta include all that for the assignment, you're better off using a time tested method of conveying large amounts of information: write a fuckin essay.
Now, an infographic is about taking some info (not ALL the info god dammit), and representing it visually. Like say you got some data on how many loads you can take without gagging. That might be some interesting shit, but just telling me the numbers doesn't really deliver the impact that kind of data can have. Now find a way to represent it visually:

This looks better but with this much text the graphic part of an infographic really doesn't matter much. It's not like you integrated stats or polls so you can most likely keep it simple.
