I am looking for a (non-apple) cheap lightweight laptop that I could carry everywhere for working with emails, indesign, illustrator and photoshop. Any advices? Thanks!

Look for anything that has at least a Devil's Canyon i5 and 8 to 16 gigs of RAM and you're golden.

does not compute. unless cheap is a fairly relative term to you. i estimate you're looking into 1200+$ range. maybe you can get something refurbished for cheaper than that.
