You are all acting as if this album artwork didnt do exactly what it was supposed to do:
Stand out, be iconic, memeable, recognizable and different to everything else you've seen.
I mean, just look at this thread: Everyone trying to make a better version, but everyone using the tools that made the first one so recognisable. Orange, random placements, repeptition, etc. You're basically remixing the cover, sampling parts of it, whatever you want to call it (which is what kanye does, ie taking samples/existing material and creating something new with it. IT's also what Peter de Potter, who made the cover, is doing as a collage artist).
Point is, this album cover did everything you could ever want it to do, and more. Shit album, great art direction.
