Does anyone here can tell me how I can make a pic like I uploaded from a normal photo?
I can only use Gimp2 and I struggle to find a way to make a simple outlined picture. So far I've found nothing and started drawing simple outlines in another layer but obviously this is too inefficient.
Is there another way via Gimp?

I think any automated way wouldn't get all the details you wanted and wouldn't be smooth, as seen in picture related, done in photoshop, using the Filter>Filter Gallery>Stylize>Glowing edges to get the outline then messing with the Levels a little to get rid of some of the 'impurities' but in the end it will never be perfect, at least not with any method I know . Only way to get it looking good is to draw over it manually, easiest way is probably with the pen tool (in Photoshop, whatever the Gimp equivalent of that is) to get it looking like the OP picture.

Thanks thats already a good idea. Already on the manual painting but its a pain in the arse, but the other one is a good idea. I'll see if Gimp features this as well
Stop being a pussy and learn illustrator. Fuck, at least live trace it. After thresholding it in photoshop.
