At first I bought into MD but after a couple projects i reverted back to flat because it really is so much simpler to work with.

That being said, this is a bad example of MD. Sounds like the guy focused way too much on drop-shadows without thinking about the z-scale at all. Not every fucking block element has to have a shadow in MD you know.

How does this differ from Bootstrap?
