But anyways- find photo/take photo you wanna use, livetrace in B&W/posterize in PS or whatever to achieve similar look, clean up, done

turn your full colored photo into black&white, adjust the contrast and find a good mix between high contrast and visibility of the object in the picture. Then adjust curves and give it a kind of colour you like to achieve. Then adjust the definite colour with STRG+U, with "coloring" ticked".
