Hey /gd/, I just bought Illustrator and I want to learn how to use it. I have some experience in Photoshop, but nothing pro level, and I want to switch to Illustrator. Can you guys give me some basic tips and techniques? Or a link to good a tutorial.

Just work on some projects you find fun. Whenever you get stuck, look it up. Once you get a good grasp of how the program generally works, then go use a book or some tutorials.

I recently switched to Illustrator to do the bulk of the work
just watch tutorials on youtube to build your knowledge base

Sorry, you're the one wrong as fuck.
Just because it can do both it doesn't mean both are the right tool for the job. It may look like they overlap in some places, but since the output is worlds apart (one is raster the other is vector) that in itself is enough.
