>>243614 1. Something inside a tooth will always look like a cavity or something along those lines. Reverse it, make a tooth inside of the sun. It will also make more sense scale-wise (the sun is infinitely bigger than a tooth).
2. A white logo doesn't make sense. What do you do when you need to have it printed on white paper?
3. That tooth doesn't look like a tooth and that sun looks weird not being complete.
HOLY SHIT THERE'S A SUN EXPLODING OUT OF THE ROOT OF MY TOOTH.
This image looks like the next thing that's gonna happen is that he's gonna hemmorage out of the root of his tooth. OP you've managed to give me images of people with blood flooding out of their mouths based on your design.
I once read a scientific text how about colors impact our perception and stimulate how we act. It showed the orange and red colors chosen by McDonald's would make you feel the need to eat. I'm planning to reform my bedroom next year, and I'm already planning how should I decorate it. I always thought of having an all dark bedroom, with black painted alls so I could be comfy while watching movies and stuff. But on the other hand, I'm always studying, so I think a brighter color would help me to get woken up. If you were to build yourself your own... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I turned the spare bedroom into my office/game room. The walls are a dark blue. I think the paint color was called 'Blue Suede Shoes'. Similar to the attached image. Walking into the room, you immediately feel cool, calm, and relaxed. I have no issues getting work done in there.
>Hey guys, I'm better than you. Here is the proof.
Well Sandrin, it is curtainly pretty. I don't like your font selections, and honistly your site feels like overkill.
If you have all the experience I would figure your resume would be enough. You still list all your skills like you aren't sure of yourself, and you list a number of other things I would expect to see from someone trying to pad out their one-page resume.
You should consider simplifying as your produced websites and personal experiments feels like... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hey /gd/, /ic/ anon here. I've noticed that a lot of the people on this board seem to be getting freelance work. /ic/ has a similar goal of getting work with their art but sadly very few of us actually have work. I currently have the mindset that graphic design has a much lower skill requirement to be good at. How much of this would you say is true. I feel that it is a very insulting mindset and I'm hoping that the truth is that graphic design is actually very hard. In the similar way that someone who doesn't draw would believe that once they've discovered... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Fairly easy to follow trends, but a real fucking skill to learn good, timeless design and then meaningfully apply it. Imagine all the web artists that have some bit of minor success because they gave a bunch of characters tumblr noses, and then consider where they are now and if that's really sustainable, if anyone really considers them good, and if they can get a real job out of it. I think you'll realize the difference between copy pasting meaningless hipster logos or slapping down bits of text in left... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
It takes more than online tutorials, college courses and pirated copies of adobe products to be a good graphic designer. There's some things that you just can't learn or teach someone.
Ahmed Tuctuc the VII and his $3 logos have had a huge impact on graphic design. Quantity over quality has become the norm. Sub-par, even bad design is acceptable.
Over the years, I've noticed that the majority of young designers lack any skill OFF the computer. Ask them to sit and sketch a basic still life on paper and they wont know where to begin. It's really sad.
The old term 'starving artist' is no longer valid, a 'stupid artist' is more appropriate.
Not many people in the art/design field have much knowledge when it comes to business. As a freelance artist you need to understand basic business principals if you want to succeed. I'd highly recommend that anyone who plans on freelancing to take some business classes.
there will always be design everywhere. good design and bad design. The main difference about art and design is that design has a function, a design has a practical measurable goal unlike a piece of art. design lacks the freedom illustration has when it comes to artistic styles. Design is run by principles, and you can learn those principles just like you can learn perspective in drawing, but to be able to do good design. not everyone can do it, at least not people who... From a purely marketing perspective, as in for the average consumer of such supplements browsing an eCommerce website, which bottle render do you think is the most appealing? Most likely to be bought? Thanks for your feedback.
