I'd much appreciate /g/'s opinion on this phone, planning to buy it at the end of next month.
Main use for it would be work (I work in hotel industry) but I also want to know if there are any things/better options to look out for.

Cons
>overheats
>terrible batter life
>screen is a crack magnet
>depreciated company offering no support past 2016
>blackberry hub shoehorned into Android, making it virtually unusable
Pros
>dat screen
>dat keyboard
>dat ascetic
It had so much potential I have no idea how Blackberry managed to fuck it up so badly.
Newegg has it for $400, not bad honestly. Supposedly the Marshmallow update fixes battery life too, so go for it.

Forgot to mention it has the same specs as the Moto X Pure, which is still a very solid phone.
Shit portrait keyboard.
Will never be a glorious landscape slider.
Waste of FUCKING money.

What's the point of a landscape slider on fuckhuge new phones? 5.5+ inch phones are as wide in portrait as many of the slider keyboards. I have my old G1 sitting around, the keyboard is as wide as my 6P is.
If you can then just wait until they release their midrange android blackberries later this year, from what i've read, the Priv is a good phone but it has LOTS of flaws. BB is supossed to release a phone with a fixed physical keyboard later this year.

Nice trips, but
>overheats
Yeah, every phone with a 808 Snapdragon has that, it's not unique to Blackberry
>terrible battery life
Based on what I saw it's a hit or miss, different people get different results but Marshmallow update that came out a few days before solved this issue
>offering no support past 2016
That hasn't been said anywhere, so far they've been pushing updates every month, especially security updates which everyone but Blackberry ignores
>BB Hub
Based on what I've seen it works just as it does on BB10 devices, sure it had some latency before but again, pre-Marshmallow and post-Marshmallow Priv are two completely different devices, OP did good in waiting for Marshmallow update.

Aww, that's too bad. I quess you'll need whatsapp? Otherwise the Passport is a good choice either. I doesn't run Android though so that'd be a big letdown for me since i've got way too much people on whatsapp to drop it.
>>54355980
I've thought of Passport but it hinders my ability to work with the fact that you can't operate it with one hand. I've borrowed one fore a week from someone else, it's really good but being near impossible to operate with one hand.

Found the T-Mobile nostalgic

Sounds cool, I'll check that out in stores and see how it feels
