why should I when the various flavors of Ubuntu I have work completely fine? Last time I tried to install Fedora on anything, nothing "just weked" out of the box.
On my laptop, WiFi and HDMI out never worked.
Meanwhile everything worked OOB with pretty much every variant of Ubuntu there was. The only thing I hear people have against Apt-get based systems is the auto-remove function.
What interest should I have with an OS with limited hardware compatibility and requires being fucked with after a basic install just to get standard functionality?

Windows users are more likely to go out lmao. Is there any situation a moderate computer user would even prefer Linux? On my desktop, laptop, even my 16 year old cpmputer which I spent weeks trying to get a distro to run on all run windows now( dat windows xp black edition). Only Systems With less than 2GB of ram or maybe 2GB of ram and more than 512mb even would want linux. I just want everything to be easy and GUI, even though ill use unix if I have to. I would make a linux home server but with windows I can literally just click everything to what I want it.GNU/Linux just sint for some people. Not that I like microsoft, or either like any OS at all

Am I wrong? If this had something like a PII and 512MB+ ram I would be. But this is a PI at mst, single core, under 1GHZ, 120mb ram, I think 20GB HDD, 8mb vram toshiba satellite that is like the backup for my backups backups backup.
