I tried the smartphone general but all I got was inane comments.
What's a good rom for a Note 4?
Particularly one for privacy and security?

Nigga, what?

Android is based on Linux
It's possible

Android *is* Linux, but that's not the point. Unless you're running barebone Android (which nobody does, because it's fucking useless), Android is Linux + a bunch of proprietary Google services that speak to the Google botnet without your knowing.

Is there a rom that doesn't include these proprietary chains?
>>55643170
Yea, it's called iOS

There are some that ignore the obvious Google services but the entire thing is such a frankensteinian monstrosity held together by Java using an old Linux kernel.

That's literally what Android is.

Ironically, this. An iPhone will have less proprietary software than a Google-infested Android phone out-of-the-box. That is, of course, until you fill it with crappy apps.
I'm running a Google free LGG3 right now. Every app I have installed is open source. And it functions faster than my stock, Google bloatware ROM. I also have any app I want. Cue the Pajeets looking to fill up their Apple© Loyalty™ accounts.

Know any roms like that with Note 4 support?
