Is there a way to access it without using the touch screen, can I root it and install a GNU distro on it and SSH into it or something?

It's an alcatel one touch idol btw and the display works, it just doesn't register touch

Don't think there's much use for your phone anymore but I'm looking to buy a new smartphone as well. Was thinking of buying this one. What do you think of it?
